| Herbal treatment Worms, leprosy is a species found in Bengal. It has two varieties----white and black; the former is used for medicinal purposes. "It is bitterish acrid, stimulant, light, palatable, generative of digestive fire, fragrant, bilious, and alleviative of wind, phlegm (Vata, Kafa), worms, leprosy, sula pains, flatulence, loss of appetite, scorpion stings and diseases of skin"----(Kaviraj N.
