Ayuervedic herbs for Dyspepsia, Jaundice
indigenous to Wes-tern temperate Himalaya, Cashmere etc. The herb contains a volatile oil, a bitter glucoside called "Marubien" , resin, tannin and fat. It is used in infusion (1 in 20) in one to two ounce-doses or juice or succus 1 to 2 drs; as stimulant, expectorant, resolvent, anthelmintic and al-terative, in coughs, chronic bronchitis, dyspepsia, jaundice, phthisis, amenorrhoea, chronic rheumatism, hepatitis, cachexia etc. |
