It roots rubbed water & applied sting of wild animals a species of Labiatae is common in the West from Concan to Coorg, Deccan and Central India. This plant grows where serpents abound. It is supposed to act as an antidote for poison. The roots are rubbed with water and the solution of the paste is applied over the sting of wild animals. The powdered leaves are given for inhalation to the person stung by a serpent in order to prevent him from falling into sleep. cils expressed from its flowers and leaves are different from each other physically and chemically.
