Herbal Cure for Glandular Enlargements found in Central India, Deccan and Ceylon. It contains a crystalline principle soluble in alcohol; an ieorganio acid, white calcareous matter and ash 18 p, c. In action it is alterative. It is used as infusion of leaves (1 in 10) in doses of 2 to 6 drachms. Both the juice of the plant and the bark are used in glandular enlargements of the liver and spleen The juice is applied to cracks and assures of the palms,


hands and soles of feet. The bark which is midly acrid is used as a tooth brush to remove the tartar or to cleanse the teeth. The leaves are used to polish ivory.
