Treatment for Refrigerent, hepatic stimulant, demulcent and emollient

Habitat----Deccan and Ceylon.
Parts Used.----The root bark and leaves.
Preparations----Decoction of the root and bark (1
n 20), dose:----1 to 2 drachms.
Action.----Refrigerent, hepatic stimulant, demulcent and emollient.
Uses.----The decoction of the root is given in cases of ever and also to remove hepatic obstruction; it is also given in skin diseases. It is also used as a wash for phth‘ in the mouth.
